Amir Khan's British homecoming fight with Ireland's Paul McCloskey was in danger of being called off on Friday night in the wake of Sky's decision to pull the plug on pay-tv transmission.
The shift to regular subscription of Sky Sports from Sky Box Office is expected to cost Khan the £1million majority of his £1.25m purse.
The major problem however is getting McCloskey to agree to a reduction of his more modest pay for his challenge for Khan's World Light Welterweight title at Manchester's MEN Arena.
Both parties are locked in talks, with Khan expected to bite the bullet because of his close ties with America's HBO cable network.
The likelihood is a deal with McCloskey will be reached over the weekend and the fight will go ahead as planned.
