Morales is actually looking pretty good for being so far removed from 130! May be a sign of a real training camp from him. It might all depend on his mental state come fight night. A lot of people telling him he cant win and he is going to end up like Ali and Roach.

Well looks like Mentally...... Morales was still Morales! and that is a very good thing for real fight fans!

he did look a whole lot better, no question about it. amazing performance, FOTY.

But I don't know how many more fights like that he can pull off.

Morales looked terrible on the first 2 rounds, he looked shot to pieces but then he started coming along in the third and throwing some nice combinations. That with Maidana tired like he had run a marathon helped Morales look great and much better than I expected. It was a great preformance.

He still has the boxing skill installed in him, but physically hes done. He was exhausted throughout the whole fight. He had flashes of his old brilliance, but those were pretty far inbetween.

The thing is that Maidana was a perfect style matchup for Morales. Thats why he took the fight in the first place. No offense meant to Morales, but there are very few other top fighters that he could put that kind of performance against.
