    Atg of old and new!!!

Why is it that when fighters from the past got knocked out or loss they could still be atg but new era fighters can.

( Roy jones, pwill, Tyson, Holyfield, moorer,)

An ass whopping is and ass whooping weather it the 60's 70's or now it's not fair to bash these guys and not them.

Not as much but none the less he should get a recommendation for not being afraid to fight anyone and move to acomedate their weight class but I mean that fighters named accomplished alot but get bad reps for lossing so what others lost to is my point.

I agree with what you are saying...BUT Paul Williams is not an ATG.....not yet anyway...he is a good fighter but has a long way to go until he is labelled great imo.

They are only "from the past" the ones you are talking about, because they are still fighting and, of course, being old, they have lost their great performance capability, and get beaten sometimes badly. This doesn't invalidate the meaning of someone, for instance, like Jones, who as as near perfect as was possible to be and was virtually unbeatable for 15 years.

A guy like this is a once in a lifetime person, and I truly believe that if he hadn't ruined himself by listening to Tarvers rants and been gulled into fighting him, he wouldn't have tried to lose 25 lbs of solid muscle in a few months, or in fact, not at all. He should have made Tarver come up to Cruiserweight, if he wanted to fight Jones so much. Then, instead of having an uphill battle at 175 he'd have half killed him and shut him up forever.

In that case the second fight would not have hapened, Tarver would not have thrown that lucky closed eyes punch, and Jones might be still fighting and beating everybody with ease.

                    Holyfield is another example.

Your question is a silly one.

I'm surprised you don't see that
