Probably kind of hard to give up on that lifestyle. That's the way I figure but it's not always the case. Look at George Foreman, not that much problem. Just a old-fashion dude that sells grills. Doesn't seem to be flashy guy to me.
He could be an A**hole for all I know but a thrifty one.

I think people are shocked at the level of ignorance of these fighters and the lack of support from their team to ensure that their business is handled. I don't think us fans want to see these fighters that we've grown up watching and cheering for, fighting in their forties, losing to bums they have no business losing to, just because they couldn't manage a little bit of self-control. He owes taxes from 2003, what has he been doing all this time? Its pretty sad when you think about it.

RJJ Jr. getting knocked out in one round in Australia to pay some bills is sad. Holyfield still believing that he'll be champ to pay for them 20 kids and houses and back taxes is still sad.

And all those enablers they had when they were the top dogs in the sports, gone like a pack of roaches

lol big george earned more money (and still earning) from those grills than he did his entire boxing career (at least according to CNBC).

doesn't big george have ten kids or something? he would probably be broke as well if he didn't hit that lottery jackpot a.k.a. the grills.

It's sad for rich boxers because these guys aren't like other athletes. They don't go to school and get a degree to back themselves on and then get drafted into the pros. Most often with these boxers is that they only know the sport of boxing and it's sad when they reach the pinnacle and fall like a boulder because of reckless behavior. Roy Jones is lucky he has a commentating job or else I wouldn't be surprised to see him selling his autograph or installing TV's for a living. This is the depressing side of boxing because there is no excuse for it. Accountants are around for a reason.
