Wouldn't it be much simpler if the tax was automatically deducted from any earnings?

Sucks for Roy Jones, he should be ok though as long as he can hold down a commentating gig. Good thing for him he lives in Florida because they can't take his home~

good post. the feds came after me and said i owed them money from 2000. the accountants told me not to worry. the feds started taking 75% of my check. only to have to give it all back when we proved we were right. so the feds are not 100% correct. plus many entertainers have run ins with the feds. not just boxers. for the record im just a regular hard working guy not an entertainer

not really. the reason you get a tax return is because the gov took too much money from your wages. some prefer to see their money up front and not let u.s. hold it intrest free. also some swift people take the taxes and place them in interest bearing accounts and pay u.s. out of the intrest earned. there is a number of ways to play the tax game. just make sure your tax person knows the rules or you could become a slave of the irs. placed on a payment plan that has you paying them for the rest of your life.

And there is no law that commands the US Government to pay for roads, pay for transportation, pay for military, pay for social security, pay for medical care, pay for education, pay for housing, pay for energy, pay for infrastructure, pay for prisons, pay for broadcast airwaves, pay for internet and wireless infrastructure.

Paying our taxes ensure we remain a civilized society.

*sigh* Why even bother, I'm on a forum that only knows two words, Pacquaio and Mayweather
