Considering the amount of rounds Spadafora won after the 3rd, that's an almost shutout, but one has to give Sosa the 6 round. He showed alot of heart though, impressed me

Yea, I wondered why he never fought Casamayor...the best fighter he beat in his prime was Corrales I reckon...and Castillo, altho that first fight was a robbery. Lederman had it 115-111 for Castillo! Oh and the Manfredy fight was stopped too soon. Manfredy was a solid contender, but he got bumrushed by FMJ and I think that took him by surprise. Anyway, he was in no way finished when they stopped it!

There were 15 seconds left before the ref stopped it, those 15 seconds could have been crucial to Manfredy's career. Floyd was unloading with serious serious shots.

True, I'm still hopeful though. Linares is extremely talented, Vazquez is building up a pretty good resume at LW, seems willing to take on the best. Soto's pissin' me off though. not gonna lie, and he's a tough dude too, but the way he ignored Peterson and now Rios, really don't know what to think of the guy.

Vazquez, Soto, Rios, Marquez and Linares, I want to see match ups that involve these 5, Marquez might move up though, don't blame him, but I really wish he'd stay

Vazquez is a tricky little bastard is what I will say about that. He is one of those fighters that doesn't strike you are extremely elusive on first glance, but has a very weird way of making sure your punches aren't landing with frequency. Wins over Prescott, Kim, Dominguez and Zappavigna are pretty good, but not special. I don't want to be that guy who nitpicks resumes, but... there are actually some warning bells on this guy's resume:

* Prescott's claim to fame was one that he earned 100% by sparking out one of the hottest prospects in the game, who was very close to, if not already there, graduating to contender status. However, it took all of 54 seconds to do, and didn't really give us a full picture of what the fighter was all about.
*Kim had created a ton of water cooler buzz on Friday Night Fights, knocking out low to mid level competition, including being outboxed by a few fighters, who eventually let him land the big shot. The bigger problem to me is that Zappavigna sparked that boy right out early. There goes that hype balloon.
* Dominguez is trash... TRASH. So he won a tournament in Mexico that magically gives him a million title shots... good stuff? Here's the fight that I will always remember him by. Friday Night Fights had a comeback fight for Zahir Raheem against a little known Mexican fighter who had never stepped up in competition, but sported a 21-2 record (or something like that). His name was Ricardo Dominguez. Then boring, no power, slick Raheem sparked him in one. WOW, ringing endorsement for the quality of opponent that Dominguez is.
* Zappavigna is probably his best win up to this point. He whacked Kim out, who had previously shown a very good chin. However, before that, he got a total gift against Fernando Angulo (who was sporting the world's worst haircut that night... well at least since Raymond Joval retired)... the guy got wiped out by Juan Diaz back during Diaz's prime, which is no crime, but... losing to an older guy who couldn't win a second of a title fight is not a good sign for his prospects in the boxing game.

Rios is obviously legit. That Acosta fight should give him something to think about for future preparation and adjustments he can make to his game to deal with fast boxers and movers, although it could be that it was Acosta's power that was the extra ingredient that made life difficult for Rios, and he is rarely going to find a fast mover who can hurt you with either hand, any punch, and do so on the move.

To follow up, I also would like it if Acosta did not lose his place in line in the division. I thought he performed quite well against Rios... if he had a chin, that fight would have been a damn near shutout. I'd really like to see him hook up with Miguel Vazquez to see who the best Miguel in the division is.

Marquez is quite good, but I think he is pretty close to done with the division. I think he is looking to cash in one last big money fight and move on to something else in his life.

Linares needs to get cracking... time is a tickin' and he still has almost nothing to show on his resume. The talent is there (I think, we'll see when he fights someone of note, if he can make it that long without getting knocked out), but he has yet to use it in a real fight. Get with it Jorge!

Also need to mention the winner of Guerrero vs. Katsidis. That is going to be a fighter who has earned their shot against any titlist in the division, minus Marquez. Go Katsidis!

I thought he was a sideshow untill the Pito Cardona fight. He seemed soft until that fight when Pito tried to blow him out and Paul won every round. Pito was blasting fools out at that time.

It wasn't on the chin. It was on the temple. He then jumped up way too quick, a vet would have taken his time. Linares just hopped right up and tried to fight even though the room was spinning. So he loss. He got caught just like Nonito did to Montiel. On the side of the head not the chin. Linares was on his way to fighting the best but he had that one set back.

I know it was on the temple. When I, and most others, say chin in reference to boxing, it means ability to take legal head punches, whether it be chin, temple or top of the head.

I have never been more insulted in my life. Andre Berto is an *******, and I can't wait for the day when he loses his first fight. My heart was broken when the Mosley fight got called off, because that was going to be that for 0 in his loss column.

Spaddy beat that a$$ after the KD vs Sosa by the way. He outclassed him pretty badly.

Go peek at Spaddy-Manfredy on youtube, it's a decent quality fight for youtube. There's a couple other Spaddy fights on there. Spaddy-Dorin is a must see fight for the war that it was, but spaddy abandoned his gameplan in that fight.

Yeah, HBO called Spadafora's tactics that took control of the fight against Sosa "softball tactics"... whatever the hell those are.

I actually have kind of lost interest with the sport of boxing to the point that I can't watch old fights if I know the result. It's kind of sad.

Guerrero-Katsidis winner should face off against Acosta (Help him get back into the LW scene), Vazquez or Linares, since Linares needs to atleast do something, I'd want winner to face only those guys. To me, Soto, Rios would make easy work of Katsidis and Guerrero, so it'd be a waste in my opinion.

I know Soto has ignored a few guys, but he is still a pretty damn good fighter. Also I'm saying this because I doubt Katsidis is the same fighter anymore, he's taken alot of punishment, and also, Guerrero does not impress me one bit, I see no good attributes in him as a boxer.

He did beat Chico Corrales and Castillo in their primes. I though Castillo won their first fight but Mayweather did beat him the second time around. Nobody was beating down Castillo's door to fight him either back then.
