well the first thing is to trim off the fat, dont go straight for bigger more prominent muscles, lose the fat, then start eating, drink plenty of milk and eat plenty of chicken, easy work then

So why do you want to move down in weight? Are you small at 140?? how tall are you?

You got a lot of great advice here so far i see...especially from MikeRo1972 and Rockin'. All i can say is stay off the ropes even in sparring. I mean, if you don't plan to fight off the ropes, why do it in sparring? Seems your wasting time that could be spent learning better habits, like footwork...that "back and forth" thing that Cotto does with his feet makes me nervous, for some reason.

It seems to me i see him doing it when he starts having problems. I don't know why, but it just doesn't look useful to me. And i agree with not making noises when you throw or jab. It might help your opponent become aware of patterns you might have.

i would only be repeating any other constructive criticism that's already been posted, but i say you're lookin' good...just keep in mind that bad habits are easy to make, and hard to break. Keep up the good work bud, and stay off the ropes!
