The 13 year youth advantage David would bring would be negated by the vast competitive experience of Martinez.
The term 'too much too soon' would apply here.
Martinez has hard core momentum that should last another couple of years.
My expectation is that Rubio is going to take the Canadian into deep waters. The Mexican contender is much better then the night Teddy Reid KO'd him in 2000. He received a split nod over the tough Mike Stewart a few years back in a good contest.
Friday could be the night Juan Carlos decides to put all his talent together for this main event. A bad loss would signal the end of the road.
He probably does not have enough but he should hang tough.

Martinez is just too fast on his feet for Lemieux (who's really just a plodder), it's ****** for him to even mention someone of Martinez's caliber just yet.
And Martinez is someone who has little inside game. Someone who can march his way in and keep the fight at clsoe range while hitting him with hard shots and going to the body is a very good way to beat him.
Like I said, Im not going to completely judge Lemieux until I see him against Rubio, but its not like Martinez is an unstoppable force.

If this kids management is smart, they will hold off on a Martinez fight for as long as they can. If they can drag it out another two years, that will be their best chance.
Lemieux fights Martinez any time soon, he gets spanked.

Ayala has a draw with Mora, last 12 rounds vs Abraham, last 12 rounds vs Lajuan Simon and ... get KTFO (3 K-D) in one round without any chance to got on his bike against David Lemieux.
We can say this was a pretty impressive performance from David.
