You can train your neck which does help in terms of punch resistance.

Another thing you can do is mental training, this is kind of an odd way to go about it but if you believe you can take a punch you are much more likely to be able to endure, and if you work hard enough at it you can trick yourself into being able to take more punishment.

You can only do so much in this regard though but it is not as though you can do nothing.

Maidana is a much harder hitter than Prescott, and is a far better all round fighter than Prescott is, and yet Khan was able to beat Maidana despite having to take around 40 of his best punches in one round. So to post photos of the Prescott loss after that and to pretend it still has any relevance is just ****** and childish.

True champions don't run away from the person who gave them their toughest fight, they rematch them immediately.

Mayweather, tough fight against Castillo which people thought he lost: rematches him months later.

Taylor, gets knocked out brutally against Pavlik, rematches him immediately.

Williams, outboxed by Quintana, 5 months later rematches him knocks him out in 1 round.

Jones beats Tarver, didn't look great doing it, gives him a rematch without needing to, gets KTFO, still asks for trilogy.
Are you seriously claiming that Prescott is in the same class as Castillo or Pavlik or Tarver???? Wow, just wow!!!! What a silly post.

Prescott is coming off two bad losses, one of them to a journeyman Super Featherweight. To fight him at this point would be a massive backward step. At least McCloskey is a Ring top 10 Jr Welterweight. Prescott isn't even a top 20 Jr Welterweight right now.

Maidana is a bigger puncher and a far better fighter than Prescott, who has turned out to be a journeyman. Beating him now would only prove that Khan is as good as Kevin Mitchell, who isn't a top 20 fighter at any weight.

I'm claiming that Khan is not in the same class as Mayweather, Jones, Taylor, Williams.

It doesn't matter how bad Presscot is, he knocked Khan out in just seconds of the 1st round. Khan has no pride, he does not care about that loss. That's not what a true champion is made of.

You're being ridiculous. A rematch with Prescott a year ago would have made sense but it makes no sense now, it would be a huge backward step.

The fact that Khan isn't in the same class as those fighters is completely besides the point. The point is that Prescott is no longer a credible opponent for anyone with top 10 ranking. He has lost badly twice recently and one of those losses was to a bum who is in nowhere near Khan's class.

Khan is a far better fighter now than he was then, due to the influence of Roach, and has proved that he can beat far more effective punchers than Prescott, whereas Prescott is no longer a top 20 fighter.

Pacquiao never rematched Torrecampo or Singsurat, Hopkins never rematched Clinton Mitchell.

You're just a hater, your posts about Khan are completely irrational.

McCloskey has got some good technical skills... He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but neither was Prescott!!!!! Paul's record can be deceiving also.. He has more power than his record reflects. Khan should win... But we are overdue for a huge boxing upset!!!

Kev, all those fighters are big names rematches.

I do agree Khan should fight Prescott though, but he has lost 2 times already since.

                  Berto should rematch collazo...

khan will run through this mcclownskey guy, and then hopefully he can fight bradley afterwards...and to those comments above about khan giving a rematch to prescott, i think he should, but even if he does, everyone knows he'll kill him by now. maybe after bradley, just for fun.
