Erik Morales might out box Marcos...

I'm not ******, I know Morales is wayyyy past his best and probably wont be able to beat a top contender. But I've never considered Marcos a skilled fighter, just a fighter with a lot of power who can ko you. I think if Morales can get into shape & can box 12 rounds he'll out box Marcos, because he is a vet, he knows how to win. Marcos has to ko morales because he wont out box him by winning on points. If Morales gases after the fourth, its a wrap for him.

Remember Morales beat Pac but lost the 2nd. You also have to consider that Manny claimed he lost the first bout becuase he had to give blood. THe second bout, he didnt have to give blood and he won..(fishy)

I think i'ma lean towards Morales...

This guy is not only a big puncher, all his wins except 2 have been by KO. Morales was at his best at 122 and 126 lbs, and even if his legs and chin weren't long gone, wouldn't have a chance at 140. Well, maybe a chance but not much of one.

And I think that Morales and Manny P. had THREE fights not two, although you could hardly call the last one a fight. Didn't Morales get KO'd in rd 3? Can't recall, did he take a knee after being battered around??

Manny Pacquiao had the speed and the angles to get Morales out of there in their second and third fights, but he's an exceptional boxer. Maidana is slow, unskilled, and will be dealing with a very tough veteran who has only been knocked out by Manny Pacquiao.

Khan has a fairly **** chin and was still able to use his boxing skills and survive. I feel Morales, if he has anything left, will be able to do the same.

At this weight division? Morales is Sssslllllow. He will not be able to on the bicycle the way Khan was. During Morales prime, what was his weight division? He is older now....Morales might outbox Maidana for couple of rounds then Maidana will KO him FOR SURE (just look at Maidana's KO percentage). This is a horrible match up.

Yeah, technically he probably can. The thing is, he has never been able to do that consistently. Even if he has all the technical advantages, he gets hit once and instantly goes to war.

Maidana is not easy to outbox. People severely underrate his ability to box and win rounds, he arguably beat Kotelnik on the cards, he won plenty of rounds against Khan late. He's not some dumb brawler that walks into punches and has to knock people out to win.

Morales now is not capable of escaping Maidana, and I don't think he's capable of outboxing him either.
