He was about 26 when he completely began to focus on boxing. While Wlad did everything Vit did, it was clear from early on that boxing was more his thing. Not that any ofthis matters, Wlad has over 2x as many pro fights...and an olympic gold...if experience determines who wins...Wlad wins easily.
I've read that VK lost ONE kickboxing fight because of an injured leg. I didn't know that he denies it, but if he does, that's good enough for me. I can't imagine him lying, especially over a simple little long-ago item like this.

What is funny is all this red karma I just got from the Klitchko fan club. Do I need to put Wlad in my avatar to indicate my support for him? Anytime I don't unconditionally praise the Klitchkos like a blind man I am labeled a hater, yet last time I checked I've been rooting for the brothers in all their past fights, and will be doing so again against Haye.

The Klitchko gang on this site is really putting me off the boxers themselves. Lay off the nuts, guys.
You really mean that the "nuts" should lay off the nuts.....eh??

He doesn't neccessarily have needed to start at 7. A kid in a gym at 7, is a mere baby, and spends all his time playing with a swinging bag, or watching the others go through their stuff.
I went into a gym myself at age 6, but only to watch my elder brother who brought me there. I went to the gym to box when I was 15, and competed from the very first, about the 3rd month I think, in a National League, in which I had 24 fights just in that league. Used to fight about once or twice a month, in the National Stadium.

Had to weigh in as a featherweight because I was a half lb over bantam, but it turned out to be not a problem.

I don't think you really mean "oversized slow bums". The guy is 6'7" 245 lbs. Many of the opponents were quite fast, but not one of them, as far as I can recall was "oversized".

Maybe "overweight", but if that's what you meant that's what you should say. And many of them were NOT "bums", they were Top 10 guys, champions and ex champions, the best available.

What Haye has done by comparison, is actually nearly nothing. These are just facts.

He not only didn't deny that knockout, he confirmed it years ago. I read that interview.
