NEW YORK, NY – Last Thursday’s media conference call featured World Boxing Council (“WBC”) Welterweight Champion Andre Berto and WBC #5 rated title challenger “Vicious” Victor Ortiz in advance of their “East-West Showdown” event on April 16 from the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods, airing live on HBO World Championship Boxing. Ortiz saying Maidana didn't put him down is the biggest joke ever. You quit Ortiz on your knees. You got laid down and you stayed down. Maidana ****s on you forever.

You are a joke. Berta will win over you. And once again I'm reminded how much of a joke fight this is. Undeserving boxer getting a shot at a world title what a joke. Golden Boy and Al Haymon two clowns who makes a mockery out of world title belts. And Top Rank too. ****, I hate this.

i wana see what these guys r made out of i still have question's about Vic and above that about berto's opponents since collazo berto only fought quintana and quintana is a B fighter at best not on top of the food chain but i cant blaim berto cuz he was lined up for the mosley fight which whould have being a tough fight for him but i respect him for stepping up for it but didnt happen since the earthquake ...but this fight will show in which possition Vic and Berto r in there career's and skill level.... i think both have alot to prove Vic more than berto and if Berto wins i would love to see him and PAC unify their titles in a Explosive fight cuz both r very exciting

I like this fight! Ortiz and Berto both have something to prove. If Berto wins lets see if he finally gets his shot. If Ortiz wins maybe a rematch with Maidana and then big things. Cant wait for this one. Who cares about the belts, those things are just for show. Everyone is a former champion or can win one when they arent even ranked in top 10 or at catchweights. I dont pay attention to belts. they just dilute the sport

This is actually one of the more interesting upcoming fights. I really wanna see how it goes down. All I can hope for is the usually. I hope it goes the distance or at least waits until the last few rounds before 1 knocks the other out

well it is true he isnt really a draw but im sure Vic v Berto is gona b a good fight and should give Berto more exposure and i think if manny gets thru mosley this the next fight for manny cuz it will b a Explosive fight and unify the title's which is another reason why this fight is a big fight if people think about it
