Rising super middleweight prospect Pablo Farias (18-0, 11KOs), who holds the WBO/WBC Latino super middleweight titles, was shot twice on Sunday in Argentina by an unknown gunman. The shooter opened fire on the 23-year-old boxer as he drove a motorboat. Farias was hit in the hand and the leg. The boxer is still hospitalized in stable condition. The police are trying to establish the motive because the assailant fled the scene without taking anything from the boxer.
