Ali was 1/3 of the black revolution in the 1960s, people respect him a lot more than Tyson. Although I like Tyson better for his personality.

ali revolutionized boxing by bringing into the mainstream. no other boxer will do what muhammad did.
tyson...was unbeatable for a few years, then made a comeback but losing to the good heavyweights of his era. two unsucessful comebacks later, he is retired from boxing and to many people, is a disgrace.

all i know is when tyson and ali walk the streets theres mobs. reason ali is also famous for beating good heavyweights, had a big mouth and came around with the black movement perfect time to open your mouth when ya know mlk and malcom x and when u were champion and young that =automatic legend plus on how long he stayed in the game.

mike tyson youngest champion in the world.at 20. in 85 fought more then 10 times pretty much every month also the next year. had a **** load of first round kos which gave him instant reconition. won the undisputed title at 21 years of age(last person to do it u guessed muhammad ali).and talked alot of **** like ali and could back it up like ali. had agression thaat wasnt seen for a while inside and outside the ring. highly publicized life thanks to winning the championship at a young age(everyone wants to know what a young kid does).thats why they will always be the most talked boxers for a very long time

That's the problem. Tyson and his generation ain't figured out maturity don't mean you graduate from diapers to depends.

Ali was the most international, globally loved and seen fighter in the world. Tyson became famous, and then notorious, then criminal. Both suffered ultimate humilations, Ali losing to Spinks and Tyson quitting against McBride. Ali was a terrible businessman, investor, and saver. Tyson was worse, much worse. At the end, both were propped up brutally by their fans and their promoters for terrible beatings.

BTW, Ali never saved boxing, he just injected a little life in a sport that peaked in the 20s-40s. He also did a lot to kill boxing by giving Don King a foot in the door and has more controversial fights than any champ I can think of. Tyson also injected life into boxing though he really never had any controversial fights.

Peak to peak I would take Tyson. Career to career it's Ali.

boxing back then in Ali's time was a slugfest, during Tyson's era boxing became a science. It's hard to judge who would win, you would have to compare fighters in their era like: Ali vs Frazier - Lewis vs Tyson
