    Put yourself in JMM shoes.....

Jump ship from GBP and be a free agent to get your "trilogy" on (and get a nice payday).....or stay with GBP and get back to back fights against Judah/Khan/Maidana/Alexander?

We all know that JMM is having dreams everynight to get a 3rd fight with Manny.....but at what price? Moving up to WW again....a good chance of him being beatdown into retirement?

But against the young crop (save for Judah)...he has a much better chance to capitalize on their youth and inexperience...and a chance to get a belt in a 4th weight class......

Which would you do if you were Dinimita?

not sure about that, pacquiao and JMM will still be at similar weights on fight night like they were when they were at 130.

but if i was him id go for a pacquiao fight, hes not got many fights left anyway.

being that he's 37 years old and imo, starting to slip just a bit, if it were me I'd like to cash out and get pacquiao. If he wins, one of the greatest ever. If he loses, he was not at his best weight and was a little older, but at least got a record payday. Win win situation.

If he goes to 140, sure he could add another weight class title maybe against Judah and that does enhance his legacy a bit, but for how long can he stick around? Lets say he gets the judah fight later in the year and wins, what does he do after that? Fight Khan at 38 years old? That's a decent paycheck, but nickles & dimes compared to a Pac fight.

Just my opinion. If he were younger, I'd say 140. But he doesn't have much time left.

Marquez is so obsessed with a third Pacquiao fight that he doesn't care what he gives up in return.

Well...it'll be haunting him for the rest of his life if he doesn't fight Pacquiao one last time. How much that's worth? I don't know.

It's very difficult choice. If he fights against Judah, it's gonna help a lot to his legacy as 4-division champion from Mexico. But signing with Top Rank would give loads of money, even if he loses to Pacquiao brutally, there are still guys like Rios, Soto that could be matched against JMM.

look.. if GBP is willing to pay jmm more money against lesser opponents than arum is willing to offer him for a pac fight, then Buddha Bless him.

jmm is a LW anyways and has no business fighting at WW

Though if I were Marquez, I would leave Golden Boy for Top Rank to secure a Manny Pacquiao trilogy, but before that takes place, request to have a fight against Judah at 140. Win a fourth division belt, settle down at a higher weight as opposed to jumping two weight classes, and have a bout with Manny at the end of the year.
I think I read if Marquez fights again for GB his contract will automatically extend.

I'd throw everything I had into a 3rd fight with Manny then win or lose, fight Rios or for a title at 140, then retire.

I mean to have Judah, Alexander, Khan, and Maidan on ur resumee. thats some top fighters right there and could even put JMM on a different level then pac just on fighting prime opponents.
