This was "the hype" episode but they didn't do much, IMO, to build it up from the jump. Hopefully the next few episodes will be more exciting but this isn't even in the same category as the 24/7 series'.
Nonsense. It was excellent. A perfect introduction for the casual fans.
The 24/7 formula was run into the ground. Every episode was the same and the narration speeches were constantly repeated. 24/7 barely even shows fight footage and doesn't put fights into sporting context, it became bland reality tv. This was much better.
Better editing and pacing. I can do without the 'as young men speech' which was used at least twice on 24/7.

I just watched this, and I tend to agree. I don't understand what the complaining is about. They painted the perfect picture for the casual fan: Manny is on top of the world and the onus is on Shane to prove that he belongs. While Manny is cheesing with *****, Shane is relegated to interviews with ESPN C listers. What a way to make a Hall Of Famer hungrier for a big win, right? I look forward to next weekend's show.
