If Pac Vs Mosley Is A Huge PPV Success

Do you think CBS will start trying to build up stars outside of Showtime once they see the kind of money they can make?

All I can say is I sure as hell hope so. I know they tried to put on some MMA shows on CBS but they weren't all that successful.

I think Showbox shows should start being put on CBS, then the next step would be Showtime, then PPV.

Small potatoes for a company as big as Viacom.

Still from the end of March Madness/The Masters to the beginning of football season they have a soft sports schedule, so I could see how they could get more into boxing because it would be an easy transition and could fill a need.

CBS/SHOWTIME needs to cater to Boxing (Top Rank) because they are going to lose Strikeforce to the UFC once their contract runs out. That's probably why they rolled out the red carpet for Pacquiao-Mosley. Boxing will be the go to combat sport for them and it's in their best interests to keep Arum happy, that way they can challenge HBO.

Arum said that the Fight Camp 360 being on CBS was sort of a test run to see how the sponsors reacted to Boxing on a mainstream network. If that goes well, we can realistically expect a Friday Nights Fights or Top Rank Live sort of show on Fridays or Saturdays twice a month or so.

That would be great for obvious reasons. Hopefully it all goes according to plan
