I think that's massively overstating it, imo it was a 10th Rd KO of a jww boxer fighting at ww. Sure he took shots but as he said himself the Collazo fight was just tough in terms of what it took physically (another 147lb bout).

Well firstly, Hatton was looking faded before he fought Mayweather.

You are a Hatton fan, so you must have seen the Collazo / Urango fights.

Secondly, no way bro, go and watch that fight again..... before that KO, Ricky was getting beaten up and embarrassed, and the nature of that KO must have been psychologically devastating.

You must be aware of how a loss can affect a previously undefeated fighter, especially one who was already on the slide.

I don't believe Hatton had any fundamental residual damage, and I believe Pac would also have KO'd the pre-Mayweather Hatton inside 2/3 rounds. I also think Pac would've KO'd Miguel Cotto earlier at JWW.

I truly don't know how you can say that, being a Hatton fan and all.

It is absolutely impossible for there not to have been "fundamental residual" physical/psychological damage after that fight, it was a devastating loss suffered by a previously undefeated fighter.

Well I don't like to see Pacquiao declare specific weights for fighters. Saying 147lbs for Martinez and Marquez is out of line imo. That said, he's a product now and they have to protect it because it's worth a lot of money.

Pacquiao can either be "a product now", or he can be a genuine P4P fighter, but he cannot be both..... and judging by his recent resume', it is clearly obvious that Pac is "a product now".

Manny is an over-hyped cleverly manufactured Top Rank creation.

The best thing about Pacquiao is that he isn't going to retire, he's going to stay active and keep giving us these great fights and that's great for boxing.

If he actually stepped up to the plate and fought a prime opponent who was not seriously disadvantaged, then maybe I would see things differently.
