Remember when Mosley confronted Floyd after the Marquez fight?

One thing, though. Floyd didn't really want that fight. He went on the defensive and started trashing Mosley's record and what he brought financially to the table (though funnily enough, after the fight, we heard a lot about how many millions he made). He was kinda backed into a corner by HBO and the lack of viable opponents.
I give him credit for that performance, though. He humiliated Mosley and had him surviving by the end.Comment

Here is what gets me. Everyone says he "ONLY" throws two punches at a
time. Yet, he stills beats all of them. AND none of them throw anything back....that is greatness to me.
I say this because he is no longer although still fast the 130-135lb Floyd. He has become less active only throwing an avg of 40 punches a round and is still undefeated in 40 plus fights.
Put me in the ring with a guy and tell me he will only throw 40 punches a round against me and I will take those odds any day thinking I will be going in there to kick ass. So do these other boxers and yet they all step back out of the ring with a loss.......why is that??Comment

Nope he got his ass whooped. The last fighter to whip Shane that badkly was Forrest or perhaps Wright. There was no potshotting at all. Pot-shotting involves moving your feet, Floyd planted his feet and threw punches with purpose. Punches designed to inflict damage, not to dirsrupt rythm. Manny will finish the job Floyd started.Comment

You're not the first one to say that! Floyd will never get credit because people are always turned off by his ****iness. Sad, but true!
Brian Kenny slammed Floyd for fighting Judah after Judah was upset by Baldomir. Baldomir was the lineal champ at 147, and the reason behind Brian Kenny's argument. Brian Kenny (in that SAME interview) asked if Floyd would fight Hatton? So what did Floyd do? After beating Judah easily, he went on and schooled Baldomir (the guy Kenny mentioned)! Shortly thereafter, he went on to fight Hatton (another guy Kenny mentioned!). It's unjustifiable how much hate Floyd gets!
After his retirement, he came back to fight Marquez. Not the best choice for Floyd BECAUSE of Floyd's superior talents...but then Brian Kenny in one of his interviews rubbed Mosley in Floyd's face: "Why not fight Mosley, Floyd? He's the champ at 147. He demolished Margarito..."
Floyd dismissed it, but then ended up fighting him. Those same people who were criticizing Floyd for fighting Marquez were calling him out to fight Mosley. When he finally DID decide, all of a sudden people flip-flopped.
"Well, of COURSE Floyd's gonna' fight him...Mosley has no chance!"
Ugh. It's one thing if you never gave Mosley a chance to begin with (me), but to say, "Mosley is going to beat him up!" and then say, "Floyd doesn't deserve credit for that win!" is hypocritical.
If you gave an opponent a good chance at beating someone, you should give credit to the victor. To do otherwise is being unfair.
To be fair to BK he always gave Floyd his due credit after he fought these fighters. I'm a BK fan because he is man enough to admit when he's been wrong and he always gives fighters their due credit.....that's much more than most commentators and scribes ever do.Comment
