Maidana may be a brawler but he has skills to go with that and just like he did against Amir and against Ortiz he adjusts and lands the punches that work. I see Morales getting blitzed with the first few rounds.

No question about it. This fight didn't happen by accident. EM sought it out because he sees a ton of exploitable flaws in Maidana's "technique"; flaws that most BoxingScene fans seem entirely oblivious to. I hope and expect EM to shock a lot of people next weekend.

To a boxing master, like JMM, Maidana could be seen as..... " limited ".

But don't even try to suggest that fight would be easy for Marquez, IF, he actually beat Maidana that is.

But, to a well-faded ex-champ, with very little remaining in the way of speed / reflexes / reactions / instincts, and with suspect legs/stamina..... Maidana is a nightmare. A painful nightmare.

Ask Amir Khan, who thought he had him out in round 1.

And ask Ortiz, who thought he had him out 3 times

Come on man, how the *** is Eric is gonna stop Maidana ?

How the hell is he even gonna slow him down, or keep Maidana off him ?

Eric is gonna get what Calderon got, but worse.
