    de la hoyas trainers...

i belive Oscar was a better fighter when he was with his old trainer, that mexican guy i belive it was his uncle? it was his first trainer he had i belive also his while he was littel. i think he should get rid of mayweather. i dont think he made de la hoya any better. mayweather would be a good trainer if he trained sumone who needed to be tought how to move annd be quick, skills oscar already had. i thinnk oscar was allot better with his old trainer... think he fired him tho

DLH was best when he had to fight for something....trainer wise yes I agree with you but he lost his heart for the sport when money and fame came along.

Alcahazar was his ideal trainer I believe. Oscar at 140 and 147 was prime Oscar.

Some believed that the one who was really going to be a star was Raúl Márquez(who was DLH's teammate in Barcelona), but Oscar De La Hoya was the one with the combination of talent, charisma, and luck to make it to the mainstream. Impressive crossover by DLH.

Funny thing is his dad was right... "I didnt want to praise him so he wouldnt fill accomplished and stop fighting as hard" Well as soon as he did (after tito fight) he went downhill lol.
