Tony Thompson vs. Maurice Harris on ESPN May 27

According to Dan Rafael's chat today, we will probably see Tony Thompson fight Maurice Harris of Friday Night Fights May 27.

Here's the exact quote from Rafael:

Dan Rafael (2:43 PM) ESPN2 probably will show a solid heavyweight fight as the May 27 FNF opener -- Tony Thompson vs Mo Harris in an IBF eliminator. For an opening fight, that's interesting.

YES! The best in the division has come back, and is ready to win a world title!

All that needs to happen is Wladimir loses to Haye...and then Thompson destroys Haye...Then Thompson finishes off Vitali...BEST HW OF HIS GENERATION!

Thompson was definitely top 10 at HW when he fought Wladimir.

But he did not appear to be even top 25 in his last fight with that old feather-fisted journeyman. He's getting OLD, and his inactivity hasn't helped.

Well, I can't fault you for keeping the faith.

                Good luck to Thompson.

                I want to see Thompson-Dimentrko.

We may be seeing Chambers-Thompson, if Thompson beats Harris...

The winner will become IBF mandatory. Or the winner of Peter-Helenius will fight Chambers.

I think Wlad will vacate next year after unifying with Haye in July, rather than fight someone again he's already KOed.

What would Maurice Harris be doing in a title eliminator? He is 24-14 including a 1st round ko loss to Henry Akinwande and a 4th round ko loss to Tye Fields in his last ten fights.
