WBC #2 welterweight Selcuk Aydin (21-0, 16 KOs), 27, came back to the ring from a lengthy lay-off and (not surprisingly) exposed Dmitry Lubachkin's enormously padded record in a single round. Lubachkin, also 27, had 18 wins, with 17 KOs, in the same number of fights coming into this bout but the overall record of his opposition was miserable 1-6-2. The Belarussian fighter soon felt how big of a gap there was in class between him and Aydin. He was badly cut over his right eye midst into the opening round after a left hook by the Turk. He was then wobbled with another left hook and then sent to the ground with a short right hand to the temple. Referee waved the fight off at 2:59 without even counting Lubachkin out.
