Recently I had a very deep conversation with Paulie Malignaggi about his career, specifically his return to Las Vegas on the April 9th HBO pay per view show at the MGM Grand. The great thing about Malignaggi, besides being a colorful personality, is that he is a pure fan of the sport of boxing and can talk endlessly about his fellow brethren and other key aspects of the game. I always have a soft spot for underdogs... that's the reason why I'm a Paulie fan.
If the kid could punch half as good as he could run his mouth... he would be an all time great LOL
But Paulie has exceeded his skills in the ring and the fact that he is still relevant in the sport is a testament on how entertaining he is outside the ring.
Everytime I see his name in an article... I have to read it. Wish I would feel the same about watching his fights..... but he gives his all..... and I respect that. So Paulie, when you fight, I will watch!!!!
Paulie, keep talking smack.... and giving us great interviews!!!!!! oh... and try to win a BIG fight atleast once... lolComment

Even though Alexander quit against Bradley, I think that he would beat Paulie. Paulie can't dent a tomato can and I think Alexander would smack him around like Khan did. And Paulie fighting at welterweight is a joke, he will get killed if he fights anyone half way decent. They can feed him these easy wins but once he fights a guy who can box and punch, he will be in trouble...Comment

Paulie is great, I always liked his style and admired his heart in the ring. I was happy for him when I heard about his deal with GB but I worry about his health against some of the top WW's. He deserves the right to keep fighting if he wants or more like needs to. Its probably not the money though, he is a fighter and knows how good he was and has self belief. He is good for the sport, I think he would make for a great commentator for HBO or Showtime down the line when he is ready to retire. Until then I support him and wish him well.Comment
