Morales vs Pac I

I justwatched the fight, it is on hbo on-demand if anybody has that and is interested in seeing it... anyways, it seemed that erik really took a bite out of JMM book of counter punching on pac in this fight...pac just looked out of whack this whole fight to me, but never stopped coming, thats what makes him so awesome, he is relentless... It seems to me erik just had the chin to take pacs punches... really, i was just curious as to everybody's opinion on the board that what was the biggest difference from this fight to the 2nd and 3rd fights these guys had? Did erik just get old overnight, or did pac get that much better, or a combination of both? Thanks guys

That fight was a classic.. Next fight Manny adjusted and picked his shots better. The cut played a part in the first fight as well. Morales was a true warrior.

Or maybe because Morales was weight drained and shot to ****? Come on even the ****ing hbo commentators talked about how bad Morales looked with the weight and said he looked like he ate a g**** a day hence Morales trying to make a catchweigh for the fight

I didn't say Erik was at his peak/prime (neither was Pac)... but the second fight.. Morales still had fight in him. Third fight he was done obviously. Relax ese.. I ain't trippin.. Morales is that guy.

Morales could not make the weight any longer. I am not taking anything away from pac because it's not his fault he just fights. But if you look at the second fight up until round 10 Morales was winning and boxing pac very well until his legs gave out. He wasn't kod his legs just didn't respond.

BUT

After about 5-6 rounds of the 2nd fight, Morales looked in control of the fight, for the most part. I guess you missed when the HBO commentators were saying that Morales was doing well and that maybe Manny is too small for 130lbs? At that point it looked like Morales may win the 2nd fight IF it continued that way and the HBO commentators left that impression, as well.

Only 1 or 2 rounds later, if that, Manny took over the fight by connecting and connecting with so many shots that it affected Morales.


That first fight was a great fight ..... and also how Manny came back to win 2 and then 3 easily.
