The point i was trying to make is that Nonaire was catapulted into stardom after the devastating KO of Monty. I was trying to point out that had the fight not ended in the second, then maybe montiel could of tested Nonito like no else. Now people (especially the Flipz) walk around with their chest sticking out acting as if Doniare is invincible.

People jumped on the bandwagon. I dont blame them. That is boxing. The fight ended early; again, thats how boxing goes. Lets see what the future holds for Donaire. I wish him luck in this new weight class. I believe he will be tested, IF he doesnt start ducking folks, that is.

Not really, the writing was on the wall 3 years ago when he sparked Vic.

Admittedly, his career has been a little static since then, but his performances have been impressive nonetheless. The Montiel fight just confirmed what many knew, that Nonito is a sensational, highly-skilled, well-rounded fighter, with dynamite in both hands.

So, to say NOW, " Who really knows what Nonito really has ", when the writing has been on the wall for 3 years, and he has left a trail of bodies including Montiel..... is sleeping on Nonito imho

And, the Montiel win did not make Donaire a huge superstar, but it sure as hell pointed him in the right direction.

But yep, good point about Montiel, it is correct to say that Donaire was not thoroughly tested in that fight.

Ok. You got your opinion and I got mine. I respect yours. All I want is for someone to test Donaire before I jump on the band wagon. I want to see him get up from a couple of knockdowns to win a fight. See him recover from being badly stunned. Thats it and thats all.

I agree with you there, good point.

But, I have seen enough from Nonito to justify my position on the bandwagon
