  • Comments Thread For: Klitschko Documentary is Part of The Tribeca Film Festival

The fifth annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival will include the world premiere of Klitschko, a documentary exploring the rise of six-foot-six Ukrainian brothers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko who made history in 2008, becoming the first brothers in boxing to hold world titles at the same time. After emigrating to Germany to begin careers in heavyweight boxing in 1996, the sport was never the same. Through an engaging mix of candid interviews and absorbing fight footage, Klitschko offers a captivating glimpse into the makings of these champion boxing brothers.

I think there is a compelling story. It had to be interesting growing up Ukranian, but having a father who was high up in the Soviet Army. The dedication it must have taken to get a doctorate and be dominant at a sport, sibling rivalry and their relationship. Vitali's political contributions and desires. Wlad dealing with losses etc...I am sure they have tons of stories, plus, if it has videos of them fighting eachother, or of Vitali training in or participating in other sports, even just showing more of their personal life would be pretty interesting.

someone needs to edit the news

it's written ''the first brothers to hold world titles at the same time'' which sounds lame, cause it should read ''first brothers to hold HEAVYWEIGHT titles at the same time''

I hope the movie is not as boring as watching them fight

It's probably very fruity with a lot of brotherly love and stuff

Why not? Both have interesting backgrounds that go against type. Could be interesting if done well.
