i don't agree with him and i struggle to respect his view because he thinks his view is imperious.

bradley has a great case for winning this fight. he had it rough in some of the rounds, but he was the controller in more of them.

i hated the way HBO tried to take it from him with the tone of that interview and having Pac stood there right next to him like Tim couldn't even have his own interview. that kid worked so damn hard and came across so well in their promotion and the network just treated him like 2nd class and tried to make him feel small.

I'm sorry but if you ever have a 4 round swing, please stop scoring fights
Why should they? People watch the fight as fans; drunk, excited, anxious etc. there's naturally a greater margin for error the first time around.

that's the effect of biased commentating. it's like a case of a blind leading another blind...it happens on rare occassions

        • I scored it 115-113 for Pac (1,2, 10, 11, 12 Bradley) after my initial viewing, but I can see someone giving Bradley another round and we're at a draw right there. The scores really weren't that off to me. The broadcast made it hard to even watch the fight because even if Pac farted they'd be screaming, "and a hard fart catches Bradley right in the nose"

Exactly,he keeps mentioning the commentators..But not the fact I also said I had guest in my home as well..Most big fights are like that, harder to score a fight like that..It was the same way with May Cotto..The night of the fight I thought Cotto didvery good, watching that fight again I felt it was a much wider margin..

You know ... usually I would agree with this Russ.

But the HBO telecast have put on master classes in swaying the opinions of the masses.

They had people believing that DLH had beaten Floyd Mayweather.

They had people believing that Manny beat JMM in the 3rd match.

They had people believing that Cotto won more than 2 rounds.

While SKY isn't perfect, I find it to be a lot less bias and they actually let a fan enjoy a fight rather than tell the fan what to think as they are seeing it for themselves.

Jim "**** **** ****" Lampley is the worst. He screams about punches that don't land. During Pac/JMM III Lampley was screaming about Pac's footwork as Marquez was landing punches. Emmanuel Steward has no backbone unless it pertains to Lennox. Merchant has alzheimer's. And worst of all, Max Kellerman has become the biggest sellout in the history of HBO commentating.

Kellerman was brought on because he had his own following that appreciated his candid and frank style of calling the shots. He was young, outspoken and most of all he had earned the respect of his followers. Now, Kellerman is just another suit. Max hasn't called it straight in years and the main reason HBO keeps him around is because they believe that his reputation as a young, straight shooter lends credibility to HBO's opinions and propaganda.

The entire HBO telecast reminds me of Axis Sally. Look her up and you'll know exactly what I'm speaking of. The messages were completely different and unrelated, but the goal was exactly the same: To NEVER let the audience make up their own mind.

So while I agree that a 4 round swing is a sign of a very impressional mind, its very possibly when the HBO telecast is set up the way that it is.

We must always remember TR and HBO are corporate partners. They have seperate agendas but also have a common interest that they must ensure is successful. Its no different than the NBA and ESPN. If you think ESPN was gonna dig deep into the Chris Paul failed trade or the Hornets getting 1st in the lottery, then you are foolish.

HBO is gonna protect their best interest and TR creating buzz for a rematch, creating a new star in Tim, while not damaging the earning potential of the floyd/manny fight, suits HBO's interest significantly.

Or ESPN and their football contract with the SEC...that has led to the worst nuthuggery of an athletic conference in any sport in History.

                  • I saw the Primetime broadcast on a rewatch, and it was awful, horribly biased. At least as bad as HBO, and Khan was pretending Bradley didn't throw a punch. Sounded like an idiot the entire fight.

The SEC has earned that distinction lately. Kind of hard to argue it's definitely the best conference in college football.
