Is Lucian Bute elite?

Bute is very talented but what has he proved at this point? What's his best win, a KO against a shot Edison Miranda? Bute really was KO against Andrade but was given a gift by the referee. This guy needs to prove himself by fighting the level of opponents in the SMM tournament. Bute continues to fight below average competition yet I don't see him getting much criticism around here.

Great fighter but hasnt stepped up and he certainly doesnt deserve to be ranked number 1 at super middle. Id respect him more if/when he fights the super 6 fighters but he will have to prove himself against a few of them before hes ranked at the top.

its why he is taking the Kessler fight...he thinks after Kesslers performances against Ward and Froch (which wasint to bad but Froch is no Ward) that he has a chance against Kessler and Kess will go to Canada...but Bute is in for a big shock...if not against Kess it will be coming soon.
