When junior welterweight Marcos Maidana (29-2, 27 KOs) was coming up in the ranks, he considered Erik Morales (51-6, 35 KOs) an idol. He would watch Morales' fights and study his form. I bet he never thought he would fight and destroy a shot version of his idol. Maidana Morales 7 years ago @ 135 would have been a great fight. Not now and definitely not at 140.

Would have been great if Morales fought a ****** fight. When Morales actually boxed, he would have destroyed Maidana, it wouldn't have been close. The boxing version of Morales that we saw vs Pacquaio would have embarrassed Maidana.

Dunno, the Morales that went to war with Barerra would get knocked out in my opinion, but that's just me.
