At 147 I'd slighly favor Pacman by decison because Whitaker slowed down when he moved up and Pacquiao seems to have peaked at this weight...

Since I posted this thread, I said I wouldnt vote and have not to bring some sort of objectivity to it...but I can only see one clean winner in this one really...

Styles make fights and one has the ultimate style to frustrate the other.

Dead on. Floyd I think would be a tougher fight because of his defense and speed. But Pac is not hard to hit at all. Clottey threw like 5 punches a round the whole fight and look at Pac's face after that one. Now imagine him fighting a target that's even harder to hit. I don't think Pac could get past that jab. Never fought a slick fast counter puncher like Pernell so it's hard to tell.

Yet the closest thing he's come to it was Marquez and towards the end of their primes Morrales & Barrera and both gave them 2 of his toughest fights ever in the 1st fights. Marquez arguably schooled him twice even after being knocked down. I thought he barely squeezed by and won both fights. Pac SURVIVED those 2 fights.

Now Pernell is the supreme defensive fighter then all of them with the best jab of them all. Pac would be swollen as ***** after this fight, come on now. Might get stopped on swelling. Most likely Whitaker decision. Styles make fights and I think this is the worst possible style for Manny. Don't think Arum would let his baby do it.

Whitaker was a stylistic nightmare for Pacquiao. Pac would be running into his counter left hand constantly, and would even be beaten in the infighting.
