How much credit do you give Berto for beating Ortiz?

If he wins, does he deserve a chance at Pac ?

No. However, he'd get credit for fighting a relatively prime fighter who can fight and winning. True, Ortiz is moving up. However, Berto isn't the biggest Welterweight in the world, either.

In my opinion, Ortiz would get more credit if he wins, but both deserve credit for taking a relatively dangerous fight. Far stranger things have happened then Ortiz beating Berto.

I'd give him as much credit as Pacquiao beating Margarito. Which is not much.

I hope Ortiz can pull an upset.

A bit but I expect Berto to win, so how much credit can you really give someone for doing what you expect them to do.

It does depend on how the fight plays out though also.

Yeah he gets credit, Ortiz is a good fighter.

But at this point in Berto's career I was hoping hed be taking no bigger names.

Well it is his best win to date even though Ortiz is a natural 140 but then again I could see Ortiz giving Clottey more then he could handle.\

It'd be a damn good win especially if he knocks him out. But after that he needs to call out Cotto or Pac. Maybe even Floyd since that fight has a much better chance of taking place then Floyd-Manny or Floyd/Cotto.

Ortiz is a 100000000000000x more credible opponent then Mosley is.
