As a fan I want this fight to happen NOW. But as someone who wants my sport to succeed and grow new stars I understand the thinking. This fight can be HUGE, as big as any in a long while. Let them build and get known more and when they get it on it will have everyone's attention.

Do you think he is lying when he says the networks will not pay as much for fighters in lower weight classes? Because he isn't; casual fans are skeptical of seeing little guys fight live, and it is mostly the hardcore fans that follow these weight classes.

Do you disagree with him when he says the fight should be financed to the level of a Bradley-Alexander fight? Both JuanMa and Gamboa are the top of their class and it is debatable which is the better fighter or who would win; the fight is high-risk for not just Bob Arum but for both of their careers. Don't they deserve to be paid well for a tough fight?

Arum is defenately just waiting until they can both get him a big pay day to throw the fight out there.. he knows Gamboa doesnt have that many fans and he defenately doesnt fill places up.. in the other hand Juanma is a big ticket seller and can easily fill a stadium at this point.. but is not the right time or the right weight class.. i think this fight is going to happen or it needs to happen at the 140 or 147... thats what people like!!! thats were the money its at!! i think they should both keep fighting other people and keep moving up until they hit the right weight class.

it doesn't matter juanma is still gamboa's biggest payday. gamboa doesn't have a fan base that will make him a big draw. all lopez has to do is comeback and win his next fight. who is gamboa gonna make the most money with? yup juanma and gamboa knows this.
