Right now 500-750k is all I think HBO would be willing to pay each guy.

Arum's lying. He didn't let Montiel-Donaire buildup with more Filipinos and casual fans. It was an astronomical risk with minimal reward for Montiel because of Donaire's lack of following. There's nobody else at feather. Gamboa won't get any more popular because there aren't very many Cubans. in the U.S.

If it's on PPV, I won't buy it! HBO keeps showing these guys fighting minor names and must be making some kind of money. $1.5 million a piece shouldn't be hard for HBO to pay, considering Berto was getting that kind of money for no names. These are the two best guys in the division (along with Chris John). I think if HBO paired them on a NY or NJ card with good competition and then had them fight in Puerto Rico, those would be huge fights gate wise. I think if HBO doesn't want to pay them, maybe Showtime who does many lower weight fights could do it. I don't know but personally, I don't buy it Bob...

What i don't understand is why 2 up and coming fighters need to be on ppv at this point. They should fight on HBO or SHOBox and then we'll know who we should be paying for the next time around.Last edited by AllEyesOpen; 03-29-2011, 03:42 PM.
