    Darren Barker gets quality sparring.

    Always in with quality partners.

He's just too damn small for middleweight for me to believe he can be a factor in that division.

No James, sparring with a bigger, faster, more powerful, superior technician, who's a switch hitter with more experience, isn't going to help at all is it? LOL!
It seems as though Jim McDonald's a little bit punch drunk, he's forgotten that Dirrell's style is as close to Degale's as you can get, and they're both switch hitting south paws.

McDonnell is a bit much for me.

But he seems to be perfect for that kind of ego massaging that it is said DeGale needs.

I can't help but feel someone somewhere could have done a lot better with Danny Williams. We hear that Jim is all about the cardio and the working hard, and this that and the other, but he could never get that type of hard work out of Danny. Sure, Danny should have had it in himself but there was bound to be someone out there who would have gelled better with Danny.

He's only managing to get Degale fit due to the fact that Degale wants it so badly (unlike Danny Williams. As for the technique element to the training, I agree with yourself on that one, McDonald's basically a glorified fitness trainer and nothing more, I wouldn't be surprised to see Degale go elsewhere in the future.

I'm as big fan of DeGale but I am concerned how personal he is making this. Don't get me wrong, the rivalry is great, but I think he could be tempted into abandoning his slick style and go head hunting, which is a mistake as he doesn't have the power to back it up. Groves also has a lot of talent, and more pop in his fists, but his defence is open and wild.

This will be a classic, someone's getting KO'd.

                Great quote! And I agree.

Right now DeGale is the closest thing the UK has to an Andre Ward.

Quotes from Degale in this article.

''How on earth is he going to beat me if he dosen't move his head and isn't quick enough?''

''There is only one winner on May 21 and it's not George Groves''

''Groves needs years to improve, not days''
