Super bantamweight Rendall Munroe (21-2, 9KOs) is set for a change of direction. The Leicester Mercury reports that Munroe has left promoter Frank Maloney and signed a deal with Ricky Hatton's company, Hatton Promotions. Munroe was set to return on April 9 on a Maloney card at Rainton Meadows. That fight is now off. Munroe will now return on April 16 at the MEN in Manchester, on the undercard of Amir Khan-Paul McCloskey, which is co-promoted by Hatton.

As long as Rendall has got the best deal for himself i couldn't really give a ****. i've never liked Maloney.

He did well to get Rendall a world title shot but with Hatton's name and contacts hopefully some big things are gonna happen for Rendall
