THE reason why Warren wants to keep Ricky Hatton?

Well, ONE of the reasons, but it was reported in today's Boxing News that when Don King was in the UK last weekend for the Calzaghe fight he proposed a £2.5 million fight between Ricky Hatton and Zab Judah at welterweight.

That's POUNDS. As of today's date that would work out as $4.5m.

King and Warren fell out some years back after working together, and King beat Warren in court, so even though they were relatively amiable, Warren declined King's offer of co-promoting Amir Khan.

However, Warren was more amenable to Don's offers of getting British & Commonwealth champ Matt Skelton a shot at John Ruiz. Skelton's no boxer, but then... neither is John Ruiz.

Oh, incidentally, Warren has also signed up Souleymane MBaye, who just happens to be Carlos Maussa's mandatory challenger. With MBaye holding a legitimate right to challenge, it could screw up Hatton's plans to fight Maussa. Just a coincidence, I'm sure...

Why doesn't Warren just let Hatton go? Why be such a jerk?

Ps: Is it me or does Alan Curbishly look remarkably like Frank Warren:

He does, actually. To be honest, though, I feel for Warren. After all, he made Hatton was he is, engineering him in the positions, guiding him. (Dennis Hobson would have given Hatton a test too early). Now he wants to move on when Frank's plumped up his cash cow?

Frank Warren is a shrewd businessman! And very smart.

                hmm

LOL...Frank Warren is the British Don King and he is a cancer to boxing. No need to compliment him.

He should go off and die in a car accident, or maybe fall into a pool of sulfuric acid. He's a *****.

Nah, I want him to die because he is bad for boxing, a cancerous wart on the face of my favorite sport. But no, seriously, I don't WANT him to die, I'm just sayin' if he did die I wouldn't cry about it. Might even grin a little.

                    Just a little.
