Jackson loved the game, would never call it a "mugs game", and was probably the greatest one-punch KO artist that there has been!
What career defining wins did he have over great opposition? Name them.

hmm
If Boom boom Mancini is in, surely Jackson deserves to be in.
There are probably guys who are in there now that are less deserving than Jackson. Unfortunately, the boxing HOF is not as exclusive as the NFL HOF.Comment

Jackson won a title at 154. Defended it three times, in very convincing fashion. He KO'd Norris in one of those defenses.
All three defenses, were one-punch KO's
After a year away, due to a detatched retina...he KO'd the very difficult Graham for a 160lb title.....another one-punch KO.
He made four successful defenses, though the opposition was not the best. He then lost twice to McClellan. The second time, quickly & brutally.
He won another version of the 160 lb, over Augsutine Cardamone (not a household name)...with yet another one-punch KO.
He lost this title in his first defense...suffering a beating at the hands of Quincy Taylor.
He had some very nice wins...an impressive record...he was the best puncher ever.
But he lost, & lost brutally, enough times to have his accomplishments tarnished.
I'd love to see him go in.....but won't argue, whether he does or does not.
An argument can be made for either case.Comment
