Why does Ricky Hatton get hated on so much?

He was 45-2 and the only losses were from 2 people who, if they fight, the winner will probably go down as the GOAT.....

He beat Tzyu and Castillo, and also beat a lot of other decent and good fighters....

Ricky was entertaining and was a lot of fun to watch...... I mean the crowd that followed him for the Mayweather fight was nothing like any crowd boxing has EVER seen before.....

He took the fight to Mayweather and really gave Floyd a great fight....I know people hate on him because of his loss to Pac, but the Mayweather fight took everything he had.....

Just look at his next two fights. He was hurt, wobbled, and almost TKO'd by Lazcano, and took a lot of shots from Paulie (but Paulie didnt have the power to hurt Ricky)....

All in all, Ricky was a damn good fighter and entertainer.....

Ricky should be praised for his career and not ****ted on like a lot of people do to him now....

I miss Ricky......

Man, people on here use the word bum to describe world champions. I wouldn't take them too seriously. Anybody that has followed Ricky's career has to respect his resume. He wasn't the best technician, or the most skilled, but he was a warrior. It was quite the accomplishment to retire Kostya Tszyu.

people are tough on him because he lost in the two biggest fights of his career. its not fair, but thats unfortunately how people are.

I think he was already slowing down a little by the time he fought Mayweather and Pacquiao, personally...his style of fighting never was made for a long career. It showed in his fight against Collazo, where he was almost put away by a light hitting Welterweight.

also, apart from his win over Tsyzu, he really didnt do too much...wins over Tackie, Urango, Lazcano, and Malignaggi were not bad either though. his win over Castillo was...alright. Castillo had looked mediocre in his outing at 140 against Ngoudjo(a fight I thought he lost), so I dont give him a huge amount of credit for it.
still, beating Tsyzu is no easy accomplishment by any means, even if Kostya was old.
