28-year old lightweight Petr “Tsar” Petrov (27-2-2, 12 KOs) is clearly one of the most obscure Russian fighters in business. The reason is obvious: Petrov, who is ranked #15 by the WBC and who holds the WBC Latino title, has never fought a single fight in Russia. Like another notable contender Alexander Bakhtin, who has been competing for the biggest part of his career in Japan, Petrov migrated abroad at teen age and debuted as a 17-year old pro in Spain.
