There is no rivalry, I like them both. Pacquiao takes care of the midweights, Donaire will take care of the lower weights. It's the golden age of Pinoy boxing.

I feel the same way.. There's no rivalry at all. The media is overreacting like always.

This whole 'rivalry' thing is bull****. The bottom line is Bob Arum did nothing for Nonito for the first two and half years then got him one big fight to try and entice him to stay. Nonito got the big win and bolted for greener pastures and bigger fights. Arum is the one who has starting talking all the BS and trashing Donaire and his wife every chance he gets. Arum is like a spoiled brat who doesn't want to share his toys with anyone else and when someone takes something from him, he cries and throws a tantrum. Manny is Manny and Nonito is Nonito and they are both great fighters, can't it just be left at that and leave all this crap alone. Arum created this so-callled 'rivalry' and now he can suck on Nonito's ballsack from the sideline (at least, I hope so because I hate the scumbag Arum)...

Bob Arum has done this to every fighter with a brain that left him. Arum runs his business like Michael Corleone. Either you do with him or you pay the price. Bob Arum locked down the sport with a combination of pure intelligence and intimidation. I just hope Nonito Donaires and his wife don't even respond to this stuff because it can die down if no more fuel is thrown on it. I feel like Rachel Donaire already touched the issues and it all boiled down to Arum not doing anything for Donaire's career.

They don't have to address it because it is not true. If they respond it just puts more to it then it already is.

Obviously the only rivalry between the two is Top Rank & Golden Boy. Arum is going to continue to bash Donaire publicly and try divide Filipino fans amoungst ourselves like he knows what funk he is speaking on . I still think Donaire should'nt have left Top Rank cuz of the potential fights in the upper weights( Juanma,Gamboa,Rigo ). Can't cry over spilled milk though, just hope Donaire and his lawyers know what they doing. Arum is the last promoter you'd want to cross.

wow, this is pointless. it's all about tr and gbp feuding over donaire, no rivalry exists.
hope nonito the best in his legal battle with scumbag arum though, hopefully he gets out of it with gbp on his side and continues to have success.

There is no rivalry, this is all over blown bull****. Donaire is great in his own right, he's never gonna be manny and he never HAS to be manny. Donaire is a beast and he's above this petty ****, him and his wife should just ignore old man arum and let this bull**** die down. It's all media hype anyway. In 10-20 years these two will be good friends and this so called "rivalry" will get a good laugh from each of them.

I recall ealier in life, people were saying they didn't like Donaire becuz he "FIGHT TOO MUCH LIKE FLOYD"...

On another, more recent occasion "HE LEFT THE PHILIPPINES TO LIVE IN THE US AND ALWAYS REPRESENTED AMERICA, NOW HE'S ALL OF A SUDDEN LOOKING FOR SUPPORT FROM THE FILIPINO PEOPLE"...

And there was also a group that liked him

Everyone else simply didn't even know who he was, which is no surpize becuz most Filipinos don't really watch boxing (Watching Manny isn't the same as watching boxing), and before the Montiel fight, u had to watch boxing to know who Donaire is.
