As a fan what are the 3 best things you can ask for?

As a fan what are the 3 best things you can ask for out of a fighter?

I came up with these 3....

    1. Always exciting whether win or lose

    2. Always remaining Active (barring injury or other crazy circumstance)

    3. Willing to take on the best opposition

did i miss anything...would you agree that this sounds about right??

I totally agree 100%. That's all you could ever ask for and thats why I like Miguel Cotto so much, he fits that description to a tee!

Always hungry to fight the best out there, no bull***** year long layoffs with bs excuses, and no matter what win or lose he gives it his all. World class fighter right there you just explained. True class. That's what separates the good fighters from the greats.

Exactly that is why I respect Miguel Cotto more than any other fighter on the planet.

#3 is a lost art......this isn't a shot at anyone particular but it seems like fighters today enjoy being protected by their promoters and being undefeated or sporting a pretty record rather than being great and fighting the best opposition

That's why we don't have many merging superstars...

#3 should be #1...FIGHT THE BEST!!! PERIOD!!!

Stop with all the excuses, stop hiding behind your promoter and CALL OUT AND FIGHT THE BEST

that is why I have respect for guys like Timothy Bradley and Sergio Martinez...BECAUSE THEY WANT TO FIGHT THE BEST! When people challenged Bradley and said he was "SCARED OF ALEXANDER" he stepped up and TOOK THAT FIGHT!

Martinez, the same way, people forget going into that 1st fight against Williams, at the time Williams was suppose to be "THE MOST FEARED FIGHTER IN BOXING" and Martinez wasn't afraid to step in their with him

also respect to the Klitschko's...THEY DON'T RUN FROM ANYBODY! In fact every time a new "HEAVYWEIGHT CHALLENGER" emerge, the Klitschko's GO FIND THEM! They don't even wait for them to call them out...YOU HAVE TO RESPECT THAT and that is how boxing SHOULD BE! But sadly that is not the case!

I ask for networks to stop being so judgmental over a fighter's record and for fighters especially young fighters to go at it...

I agree, and atm the fighter that best sums up all three of your criteria imo is def Sergio Martinez.

i agree cotto fits perfectly! would also throw in katsidis...except with kats he's lost all his big fights (casa, diaz, marquez) BUT he was still exciting in ALL of them

Your three choices are all good.

I just want to see the best fighters fight the best fighters in every division, politics aside.
