I have a hard time understanding why a promoter would protect a fighter(juanma) from another fighter(gamboa)he also promotes. It makes no sense, he's just milking both for as long as he can untill he thinks its the right time to put them up against eachother.

gamboa is not his fighter, he's just co-promoting him... gamboa has a good relationship with his real promoter, ahmet oner, maybe he's a scumbag yeah but he cares about his fighters... arum knows gamboa won't be with him forever, but right now he's just accelerating the process of gamboa leaving top rank because yuri is tired of all that bs... he wants to fight the bests, simple as that, but top rank does not provide...

can someone please call and ask the question, i would if i could but i dont live in USA

It makes no sense but the thing is he's only a co-promoter with Gamboa and Juanma is the bigger box office star. He see's it as a very risky fight because there's a good chance his draw will lose but the only way to make stars it to match them up against other potential stars.

Barrera vs. Morales 1 was on B.A.D they were the two best guys in their division and both got paid $300k. After that great fight they both demanded more money and became much bigger names, that's how u build up a star not by having him fight no hoppers when he's already been champ for 3 years.

Damn, about to step out the door to go to work. If you can, ask him what his/Top Rank's long term plans are for bringing Boxing back to the mainstream and how the deal with CBS fits into those plans.

              Appreciate it

I hate the old greedy man...

The first question asked was if Gamboa/Juanma was going to happen after Salido, and his usual answer: "Nope, not before both of them are PPV attraction..." How the ff are the going to get there Bob?? Who can they possibly beat except themselves to get that status??? This crazy old man thinks fight fans are ******...

The second question asked was about his thoughts on Donaire wanting to leave him for Golden Boy. He basically answered this: "I don't care what Donaire think he'll do, he has a contract with me..." Talk to me about having a nice relationship with his fighters...
