If Donaire is able to carry his speed and power to 126 then I see this as a 50/50 fight. Gamboa is a tough SOB to beat, especially with that crazy speed, power, and ferocity he has. But he is flawed. Donaire, on the other hand, is fundamentally superior and might be just as fast as Gamboa. But we don't know how well he can handle Gamboa's whirlwind of punches.
This is a fight that the fans would want to see after Gamboa annihilates Juanma.

118 against 126........Gamboa is almost twice the size of Donaire.

pretty much the same height and a 2.5 inch reach advantage for Donaire, that's it. Gamboa was at a greater disadvantage tonight........I'm rolling with Gamboa via UD or KO. Donaire has never been hit by a guy with that much power or speed.

actually doanire is pretty big for 118... size wise he is similar to solis imo

Donaire by decision. But fight won't happen since Donaire signed with GBP. The fights to look forward to with Donaire include non Top Rank fighters such as Mares, Moreno, Agbeko, or Chris John.

Depends on how doanire looks in that weight but if they were fighting later this year El Cyclon would smoke donaire under six. Gamboa is lighting fast and has underrated defense. the reason I say his defense is underrated is because when he wants to be defensive he can be but since he wants to destroy people he leaves himself open because he is on the attack like every other boxer would be. oh yeah, gamboa is looking beastly.

How is his power going to carry up in weight though? I think Donaire is one of the most talented guys out there but I also feel there is a reason he is fighting where he is instead of moving up.

Maybe If Donaire returns to top ranks 2014, who knows. This would be a great watch. I see 50/50

Gamboa doesn't fair well with boxers with power. He will eventually get KTFO by Donaire after a couple of knockdowns.

He already moved up twice. He was still a flyweight less than a couple of years ago, against Raul Martinez. He only fought 3 times as a Jr Bantam and moved up again. He's moving up gradually, which is the proper way to go...
