A fight card, promoted by German Titov, Kirill Pchelnikov and Art Pellulo, is currently under way at DIVS ("Dvorets Igrovych Vidov Sporta") in Ekaterinburg, Russia. The main event (which starts at about 6 PM GMT) will see the first defense of the WBO middleweight title by the champion Dmitry Pirog (Russia) against optional challenger Javier Francisco Maciel (Argentina). pirog looks off big time

          timing off, spacing off,

          having trouble throwing combos

still winning, although his opponent isnt really doing much to go for it

8 months off was too long

          ring rust

I dont know if its in terms of skills,or a long lay off but Martinez would stiff-arm march right through pirog.Cant beleive even BEFORE this fight ppl were saying martinez was ducking him.Martinez should take an advantage,en it,and collect another belt.

knocking out toothless schizofrenics who throw head-down flurries with a 0.0004% landing ratio who would have otherwise been considered "all time greats" if a boring/strategic fighter didn't come along and make them look ******ed?

Pirog hasn't really beaten anybody aside from Danny Jacobs which is not that impressive when you think about.

He needs more time to develop but people on here were overhyping him way too much.

So much for Martinez avoiding him. He needs a few good wins to get into the big picture
