Roy Jones Sr: "No Excuses, the fight will go on!"

15rounds.com just spoke with Roy Jones Sr, and was informed that the Antonio Tarver vs. Roy Jones Jr fight will proceed on as planned.

"The fight will go on as planned," Jones, Sr. adds, "Roy looks tremendous in training, and don't be surprised if Roy shocks the world".

Earlier in the week 15rounds reported that Roy Jones, Jr. injured his left hand in sparring, and that the fight was in jeapardy. However, when asked today, Roy Jones, Sr. said, "His hand is much better than it was [Tuesday]. Roy will go through with this fight, also Roy has heard what Tarver has been saying the same."

I saw a teaser video somewhere online promoting for this fight. It shows clips of the first and second fight and also show Tarver and Roy Jones both saying that they gonna win. In the video, Roy looks in really good shape, so I'm guessing the training is really paying off.

I dont know if Roy can get back to what he was before but if anybody could do it, its definately Roy.

Is it just me or does Roy's skin and face just look more youthful than it had recently? He looked old as hell for Tarver in the 2nd fight but looks younger in that promo. Maybe he's on to something.
