I'm liking Milan Melindo. He's technical but participates in enough exchanges to keep it interesting.

But I think he's too small to make the same waves as Pac and Donaire.

        Highlights of his recent fight:

Mercito gesta, Drian fracisco and Jason pagara. Gesta is the one to watch because he is in the LW division and where there are a lot of good fighters and are more exposed to the Boxing audience in America. A lot of pinoy prospects fight in the lower weight classes.

Philippines needs better trainers, gyms and management. But I've noticed a slight improvement in that area. Might not ever have depth like USA or Mexico but I expect to HOF'ers coming out in the future.

I don't know a lot about what's up in the boxing scene in their country like other countries but I am impressed with Melindo and Drian Francisco(an awkward dude). I'm skeptical about Gesta, I think he will be exposed soon.

The country has a long history in boxing, but lack the resources to do so. Once in a while, you get amazing fighters like Pac, Flash Elorde, and Pancho Villa. But when it comes to proper training, the Filipino Americans right now obviously have the upper hand like Donaire (although he was trained by his Pinoy father all his life). Manny's influence will definitely produce more great talent in the future.
