I was speaking to a British friend of mine earlier (he's from Cardiff) and he was talking about how Britain is third rate when it comes to boxing. He said "Americans are the greatest overall with regard to pugilism. Even when taking into account our tiny island's small population etc. we still haven't produced hardly any boxing World Champions for a country that invented the sport."

I think he's right.
