Sergio is the champ at 160 and the division is weak. Angulo is a 154lb fighter who turned down a fight with Martinez and Kirkland is fresh out of jail and needs some fights before a big one like that.

because is the best fight that can be possibly be made at 160 pounds, plus it's a unification bout.

boxing fans usually want to see the best fight the best.

Who's making excuses Im just saying it's laughable that a fight with a ***ing prospect is the best fans can ask for from Martinez!

I know it's really cool to name drop all these obscure Boxers to all your friends that dont watch boxing and all but I follow boxing really close and Pirog is a ***ing prospect. Watch the fight will get made, martinez beats him, and you will go right back to the "Martinez fights russian yak farmer" jokes.

i would liek to see it ... but people act liek its a resume defining fight for sergio. ive only seen pirog once and while it was a pretty spectacular performance that one win isnt going to convince me that hes the beast everyone acts liek he is. id like to see more of him and i would def liek hbo to showcase him.
