Julio Cesar Chavez has another new foe. El Gran Campeon will now face Grover Wiley (29-6-1) on Saturday night's "Adios Phoenix" card at the America West Arena. Chavez was originally slated to face Lou Bizarro (24-3, 2 KOs), who was replaced by Craig Weber (21-1-2, 11 KOs). Weber reportedly arrived in Phoenix yesterday, was paid his full $30,000 purse and has returned to Cleveland.

It's his goodbye "tour!" I think it's going to last until he is 50! Or until Jr. can headline a card of his own!!Originally posted by RunWithKnivesHow can he keep having goodbye fights and marketing them as that? Isin't that ridiculous?Comment

It's a shame to see this from one of my all-time faves.
Gonna go home & watch his fight with Rosario to erase this stench...Comment

He has only had 4 good bye fights 3 in Mexico and 1 here in the states. I thinks its cool though his goodbye tour, no one said anything when Kiss had their goodbye tour and no one wants to see that old guy stick out his tounge at people but people still just went to hear their music, this is the same thing with Chavez, although he fights guys not really worthy opponents its still fun to see a future hall of famer fight in the final days of his career.Originally posted by EmanNow how many goodbye fights has he had now?Comment
